Christopher Yuan

Current Issues Challenge: Holy Sexuality

Dr. Christopher Yuan articulates a biblical view of sexuality through the narrative of his personal transformation from an agnostic gay man to a Bible professor. Not only does God turn his unbelief into belief, but God also frees him from the bondage of drugs and promiscuity. Using his testimony as a launching pad, Dr. Yuan asks these questions: How can Christians better engage with our loved ones and friends in the LGB community? How does the gospel (sin, repentance and redemption) influence the conversation around sexual identity? Without any compromise of truth or grace, Dr. Christopher Yuan combines his life experiences and his theological training in biblical languages to bring a fresh and unique perspective on this important topic.

About OIL

History

One in Love (OIL) started in 1988 as a cozy retreat in Pennsylvania for a small group of college students. Nearly three decades later, OIL is now a multiethnic conference that serves nearly a thousand college students and young adults from all over the nation. We come together as a diverse generation of Christ to become “one in love.”

Vision

The vision of OIL is to nurture personal and corporate spiritual renewal, strengthen local churches, and equip individuals for personal ministry. It also aims to build collaboration and networking amongst church leaders. Through OIL, we desire for attendees to return home with a fresh love for God and a compassionate heart for the world around them.
