REGISTRATION

Will I get an email confirmation that Iíve registered?
Yes, shortly after you register, you should receive an email confirmation. If you did not receive an email confirmation (and have already checked your junk mail folder), contact us immediately.

Can I attend OIL without pre-registering?
We highly discourage walk-ins. We will not send you back home, but the walk-in line is inordinately long (not on purpose), you may not get an official OIL booklet or nametag, and there is a good chance you won't get your first seminar choice. There is also a $20 walk-in fee (for a total of $245 for overnight attendees or $155 for commuter attendees). Your best bet is to contact us before you come to OIL.

Do you have discounts/scholarships?
As much as we would like to help, unfortunately we donít have the resources to be able to provide discounts or scholarships.

What is the age range?
You must be at least a college freshman to attend OIL. The conference draws mostly college students and young adults but anyone over the minimum age is welcome to attend.

CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS

If I signed up but because of some reason I cannot attend the conference, can someone else take my spot?
No, sorry, someone else cannot take your spot and use your deposit. If you can't make the conference, please let us know ASAP (to open up space for prospective registrants), no later than midnight CST on December 19, 2011, and we'll refund your payment (except for the $40 non-refundable deposit).

I canít attend. Can I get a refund?
Please contact us before midnight CST on December 19, 2011 to cancel. Space is limited and we'd like to give as many people the chance to attend as possible. When you tell us you're canceling, we'll refund your payment, except for the $40 non-refundable deposit.

Why is there a non-refundable deposit?
If someone cancels we have to pay two sets of processing fees (on the original registration and on the refund) to the credit card company. The deposit is to cover the processing fee for the refund, not for the original registration.

Can I change my registration information (e.g. address email, breakout choice, etc.)?
Yes, Please click HERE. You will need to log in to your account and edit the necessary information. There will be no changes after December 19, 2011.

SCHEDULE

What time do I need to get to OIL by on January 4?
Check-in officially begins on January 4 at 1 PM. It is quite unpredictable to determine when check-in lines will be at their shortest. A good rule of thumb would be to arrive at least a few hours before the opening worship service, which is at 4 PM. If you come early and are an overnight attendee, you can register and drop off your belongings in your room, then have some time to rest or pray until the opening worship.

When are the first and last meals served?
The first meal will be dinner on Wednesday, January 4. For overnight attendees, the last meal will be breakfast on Saturday, January 7. For commuters, the last meal will be dinner on Friday, January 6.

WHAT TO BRING

What should I bring to OIL?
Clothes for 4 days and 3 nights, toiletries, your Bible, a pen, and spending money/credit card if you'd like. You do not need a sleeping bag. Bedding is provided.

Will you make any resources available at OIL?
We try to provide you with resources to preserve the OIL experience at minimal cost. There will be opportunities to buy OIL T-shirts, hoodies, books, and sermon USBs.

Will you take credit cards at the conference to register and purchase CDs, books, and other resources?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards.

MISCELLANEOUS

How many people are you expecting?
The attendance has been anywhere from 600-800 people for the last few years.

How is housing arranged?
Rooms will be assigned same gender, generally 4 attendees to a standard 2 queen-bed room. You will likely be rooming with other attendees around the same school year/age, who may be in your small group.

What will the weather be like?
Sandwich, IL (Timber Creek Inn & Conference Center) is about 30 degrees during the day, ,15 degrees during the night in the month of January. However, most, if not all of your time will be spent indoors. Right before you come, it may be helpful to check weather conditions (for Sandwich, IL) via the Internet.

How far is Sandwich from downtown Chicago?
In light traffic, the drive time is approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes.

How far is Sandwich from Oíhare aiport? Midway airport?
In light traffic, the drive time is approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes from both airports.

We do not provide rides to Sandwich, IL. You are responsible for your transportation.
